    THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF ASTORIA


    CERTIFICATE OF RATIFICATION


    Whereas, the Congress of the United States of Astor, the U.S. House of Representatives acting on the Twenty-eight day of September and the U.S. Senate acting on the Eight day of October of this year Two Thousand Twenty-Four, did propose an Amendment to the Constitution of the United States titled "National Guards Amendment", which was thereafter submitted to the Legislatures of the several States for ratification, in accordance with Article VII, Section 3 and Amendment I of the Constitution of the United States; and


    Whereas, the Common Assembly of the State of Astoria, composed of the Assembly of Senators and the Assembly of Representatives, having been duly convened in their respective chambers and in full accordance with the Constitution of this State and all other applicable laws and procedures, considered the Amendment and


    Whereas, on the Fourth day of November in the year Two Thousand Twenty-Four, the Assembly of Senators did pass a resolution ratifying the said Amendment by a majority vote, and the Assembly of Representatives likewise passed a resolution ratifying the same by a majority vote*;


    Now, therefore, be it known that I, Kathleen T. Johnson, Governor of the State of Astoria, do hereby certify and proclaim that the State of Astoria has ratified the said proposed Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.


    In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand at Fink House in the City of Greenville, this 05th day of November in the year 2024.

    In einem Schreiben an "Madam President, dear Tamara!" zeigt sich die Governor of Astoria enttäuscht darüber, dass die Freedom of Insurance Bill ohne inhaltliche Änderungen in Kraft getreten ist und damit ein staatliches Sozialversicherungssystem wie jenes im State of Astoria gefährdet.

  • [Arroyo for President] Election campaign closing event

    Als erste Rednerin betritt schließlich die amtierende und für ihre (nach internen Zahlen bereits - wie gewohnt in einem Blue State - trotz einiger Misserfolge in jüngeren Parlamentswahlen sicher geglaubte) Wiederwahl antretende Governor of Astoria die Bühne und genießt die gute Stimmung des Publikums sichtlich.


    It is great to see that every once in a while, politics in Greenville can be more than State Government business, my friends!

    Ich habe heute die Ehre, zu einer großen Abschlusskundgebung des DNC für die anstehenden Präsidentschaftswahlen zu sprechen - das hatten wir schon lange nicht mehr. Wir hatten viele Schlafwagen-Wahlkämpfe in den letzten zehn Jahren oder noch länger. Damals noch für den Kongress, von Wahlkämpfen auf Staatsebene einmal ganz zu schweigen.

    Aus Schlafwagen-Wahlkämpfen wurden dann zunehmend Schlafwagen-Amtszeiten - und ich glaube den Prototyp einer solchen Amtszeit hat Monty Bracewell uns in den letzten knapp acht Monaten demonstriert. Ich bedaure das sehr, denn Monty ist ein Bürger des State of Astoria und als unserem Präsidenten hätte ich ihm eine glückliche Hand nach der Katastrophe gewünscht. die über viele unserer Bundesstaaten gekommen ist und deren Bewältigung entschlossene Impulse aus dem White House benötigt hätte.


    Wir Demokraten sind nicht unschuldig an der Misere der letzten Jahre, wir hatten auch unseren Anteil an Lethargie und allgemeiner Ideenlosigkeit. Aber, meine Freunde, ich kenne jemanden, der ein gutes Gegenbeispiel geliefert hat.

    Ich kenne eine Frau, die in den letzten Wochen unermüdlich durch die Vereinigten Staaten gereist ist, die Menschen zugehört und mit ihnen Pläne entwickelt hat.


    Einen Plan dafür, wie wir für die Kriegsschäden in den an Astoria angrenzenden Bundesstaaten angemessene Reperationen erhalten können, damit unsere Nachbarn endlich Unterstützung für die Finanzierung des bereits begonnenen und teilweise wegen knapper Mittel stockenden Wiederaufbaus erhalten können....

    Applaus brandet auf, auf den Bildschirmen werden die Gesichter von Besuchern eingeblendet, die zu Tränen gerührt sind.

    Einen Plan dafür, wie wir unsere Verteidigungsfähigkeiten strategisch verbessern können, um nicht noch einmal von Feinden der Vereinigten Staaten überrannt zu werden.

    Einen Plan dafür, wie wir die Modernisierung unseres Landes im Bildungswesen, im Digitalen und ganz grundsätzlich weiter vorantreiben können, damit die USA auch in Zukunft eines der modernsten Länder der Welt sind.

    Einen Plan dafür, wie wir den sozialen Zusammenhalt und die Unterstützung für Bedürftige in unserer Gesellschaft stärken können, nachdem wir Demokraten uns das schon so oft vorgenommen und bisher nicht anständig zustande gebracht haben!

    Einen Plan für Gleichberechtigung und Diversität, wenn the other side of the aisle mehr und mehr lieber von der Vergangenheit schwafelt und gefühlt zurück in die Gründerzeit unserer Nation will, als wir zwar hehre Ideale formuliert haben, diese dann aber verraten haben. Das sind die Werte des 21. Jahrhunderts, das sind progressive Ideale in einem modernen Astor!


    Ich kenne eine Frau, die Erfahrungen als Richterin, als Senatorin und als Attorney General gesammelt hat - eine Frau, die wirklich bestens geeignet ist, das Banner der Demokraten in diese kommende Präsidentschaftswahl zu tragen.
