
Executive Order 84
Comprehensive Organization of Markets, Management, Environmental, Resources, Commerce and Economic (COMMERCE) Policy Departmental Organization
WHEREAS the Federal Administration Act vests the power of the creation of Federal Departments in the President of the United States,
AND WHEREAS Executive Order 52, most recently amended by Executive Order 70, provides for the Organization of the Federal Executive Departments,
AND WHEREAS Executive Order 70 re-established the Department of the Interior by changing the designation of the Department of Commerce,
AND WHEREAS the designation of a Federal Department ought to clearly and appropriately reflect its principal fields of responsibility,
AND WHEREAS the Department's responsibilities in the fields of Commerce and Trade constitute a central part of its duties as well as the constitutional basis for its federal mission,
AND WHEREAS the establishment of the U.S. Department of Health, Education, Labour and Civic Participation constituted a relevant restructuring of functions in domestic policy,
NOW THEREFORE, I, KATHLEEN T. JOHNSON, President of the United States of Astor, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, hereby order as follows:
Section 1 - Redesignation of the Department of the Interior (1) Das U.S. Department of the Interior führt wieder die Bezeichnung "U.S. Department of Commerce". Section 2 - Coming into force (1) Dieser Erlass tritt mit seiner Unterzeichnung in Kraft. |
