    The sponsor may rise with the privilege of the first word.

    An amount of 4 hours of floor time is reserved for debate. This can be reduced or increased according to the Standing Rules if necessary.

    Mrs. CUNNINGHAM introduced the following resolution:

    A JOINT RESOLUTION

    providing for a Joint Session of Congress to receive a communication by the President.


    Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of Astor in Congress assembled:[ul]

    Das Repräsentantenhaus und der Senat der Vereinigten Staaten kommen am 20. July 2025 um 12 Uhr zu einer gemeinsamen Sitzung im Plenarsaal des Repräsentantenhauses zusammen, um der Ansprache der Präsidentin der Vereinigten Staaten zur Lage der Nation beizuwohnen. Hierfür wird dieser das Rederecht vor dem Kongress gewährt.[/ul]

  • Mister Speaker,

    die scheidende Präsidentin hat ihren Wunsch zum Ausdruck gebracht, ein letztes Mal vor beiden Kammern des Kongresses ihre Rede zur Lage der Nation abzugeben. Ich unterstütze dies ausdrücklich und bitte das Hohe Haus ebenfalls zuzustimmen.

    Insofern rege ich an, dies im Verfahren des Unanimous Consent zu bestätigen.
