    Mrs. SHORE introduced the following resolution:

    A JOINT RESOLUTION

    providing for a Joint Session of Congress to receive a communication by the President.



    Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of Astor in Congress assembled:

      Das Repräsentantenhaus und der Senat der Vereinigten Staaten kommen am 15. Mai 2023 um 20 Uhr zu einer gemeinsamen Sitzung im gemeinsamen Plenarsaal des Kapitols zusammen, um der Ansprache des Präsidenten der Vereinigten Staaten zur Lage der Nation beizuwohnen. Hierfür wird diesem das Rederecht vor dem Kongress gewährt.

    ich kann nicht für die Präsidentin sprechen, allerdings möchte ich darauf hinweisen, dass dies bereits der zweite Bericht zur Lage der Nation für President Ramsey-Prescott ist, da ihr Vorgänger seiner Berichtspflicht nicht nachgekommen ist. In diesem Zusammenhang ist überdies die rechtliche Ansicht zulässig, dass die Präsidentin mit diesem Bericht im Februar ihrer gesetzlichen Pflicht ohnehin schon nachgekommen ist.
