    IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES


    October 6, 2020


    Mr. KINGSTON of Laurentiana introduced the following Resolution.


    A RESOLUTION

    To amend the Standing Rules of Congress to designate the Dean of the House of Representative as Speaker pro tempore during the constitutive meeting of the House of Representatives until a Speaker shall have been elected.


    Resolved by the House of Representatives:


    SECTION 1. AMENDING THE STANDING RULES.

    Title III, Section 2, Subsection 1 soll lauten: „Die Wahl eines Speaker of the House soll stattfinden, wenn sich ein neues Repräsentantenhaus konstituiert; bis zur Wahl des Speakers ist die Leitung der Sitzungen dem Dean als Speaker pro tempore übertragen. Die Wahl eines President of the Senate soll stattfinden, wenn seit der letzten Wahl drei Monate vergangen sind.“
